Bermuda-based insurance and reinsurance company, Hamilton Insurance Group, has appointed Raymond Karrenbauer as Group Chief Information Officer (CIO), effective September 15th, 2025.
He will join the firm’s executive management team, reporting to Craig Howie, the Group Chief Financial Officer.
Karrenbauer succeeds Venkat Krishnamoorthy, who has been with the Company since 2019 and decided to retire on August 30th, 2025.
In his new role, Karrenbauer will oversee Hamilton’s information technology strategy.
Most recently, he served at Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Accreditation Body, Inc. (Cyber AB), which supports the US Department of Defence’s contractor cybersecurity compliance program.

At Cyber AB, he served as Executive Vice President (EVP) and Chief Financial Officer from 2021, overseeing information technology.
Prior to this, he served at IFG Companies as Senior VP and CIO responsible for the company’s digital transformation and core operations. Before this, he held senior executive positions at Axis Capital and ING Group.
